Session outline
Smartphone technology will be discussed and demonstrated so that attendees can learn of programs that can be used in their communities. The use of smartphones for recording symptoms will be demonstrated, and discussed and demonstrated. The use of smartphones to capture outcome data will be demonstrated and attendees will be able to download programs for their use. The delivery of therapeutics through the smart phone will also be discussed in the areas of mental health and COVID. Apps will be demonstrated and attendees will be able to download the programs.
Learning outcomes
- Attendees will gather an understanding the ways smartphones can be used in therapeutics, monitoring of conditions and the gathering of outcome measurements.
- Attendees will be able to download apps and programs during the workshop and ask clinicans details about their use.
- Attendees will get and understanding of governance issues such as data custodianship and privacy when using smartphones in rehabilitation.
- Attendees will understand the processes for prescribing apps in rehabilitation.
