Shoulder pain is a very common and is responsible for debilitating pain and affects the quality of life. Shoulder pain is multifactorial in origin. Various treatments have been documented including, medication, modification of life style, injections and surgery. Â
Shoulder pain is a common problem in all ages observed in the clinical setting. The course will cover anatomy, biomechanics, and various treatment options of shoulder pain.
Learning outcomes
- The learners will be apply knowledge to evaluate the source of shoulder pain
- Learners will discuss and implement guidelines for management of shoulder pain including tendon problems using evidence based medicine
- The participants will perform and implement the use of ultrasound for shoulder injection procedures.
- The participants will identify, differentiate and implement strategies for management of pain originating as other sources
