Dr Mazlina Mazlan is a professor at Universiti Malaya, and heads the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit at the University Malaya Medical Center since 2009. She has also established and leads the Brain Injury Special Interest Group within the Malaysian Association of Rehabilitation Physicians. She plays a pivotal role as the Chairman of the National Committee for Rehabilitation Medicine specialty training, contributing significantly to the curriculum development for Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine trainees and fellows in Malaysia. Dr Mazlan specializes in medical impairment assessment and the rehabilitation of individuals with acquired brain injuries. Her commitment to the field extends to her active involvement in medical research and her role as editor for various local and international medical journals. Beyond her clinical and academic responsibilities, she has been serving as a medical expert witness in courts for disability compensation related to road traffic accidents since 2017
