Volodymyr Golyk is Neurologist physician by primary education, Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine Physician, PhD, Assoc. professor (Neurology), Docent (Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine), previously worked as a consultant at PRM Department of CNE “City Clinical Hospital No. 4” of Dnipro City Council, senior lecturer at Department of PRM and Sports Medicine of Shupyk National University of Health Care of Ukraine, Director of School of Rehabilitation Medicine at Ukrainian Catholic University, Chief of Dpt. neurology and border states, Scientific secretary at Ukrainian State Research Institute of Medical and Social Problems of Disability.
Participant of the WHO-ISPRM Technical Consultation in support of the development of a national plan for life limitations, health and rehabilitation for Ukraine, co-author of Situation assessment of rehabilitation in Ukraine (2020) and A situation assessment of assistive technology in Ukraine (2021) by WHO. Member of expert groups of the Ministry of Health for the development of legislation and regulations on rehabilitation in healthcare. Co-author of a number of international publications on rehabilitation and physical and rehabilitation medicine.
Currently work in WHO Country Office in Ukraine as Technical Officer, Disability and Rehabilitation.
